Playtime, silly girls!

Drawing on her new art board!
Jace playing on the new art board!
Maysie being silly as usual!
Silly girls!
Jaeli loves to draw! I think she may be a future artist like her mommy!
Having fun outside!
Discovering chalk on the ground...not hers!
Maysie being silly...again!
And Jaeli being silly!
Little Miss Maysie decided to tear paint off the wall. This started as a very small circle. Then it just kept growing and growing and growing! Everyone took part in it. They always go over to it and say... "Grandma J's gonna be mad!" Grandma painted it when we bought the house. We used primer too, but still peels off way to easy. Hopefully we have enough paint to patch it and re-paint it.

The Zoo

Feeding the fish!
Aww, they LOVED the goats. Had so much fun touching them and playing with them!
Brushing the goats!
Jace really enjoyed them too!
They loved that they were standing on the trees!
Getting swarmed by the goats when they returned the brushes!
Jace decided he wanted to push the stroller instead of ride it!
Jaeli was in love with the horse. She sat on it all by herself. We did have the slowest horse though! She through a major fit when I had to take her off. I think we have a future rider!
Makenna holding onto my mom for dear life...just like she did last year.
Maysie did pretty well too, she seemed to enjoy herself.
Jaeli refused to ride on one of the animals, she had to sit on the bench instead!
Watching the fishes and ducks!
Jace pointing out the ducks!
Feeding the ducks and fishes!
Maysie out of bread and asking where more is!
Jace was throwing bread over the side and wanted more!
Checking out the fish tanks!
Jaeli loving her horse ride!
Maysie stayed on until I asked her if she was scared...then of course, she got scared! Opps!
Jace really enjoyed it!
Mak not so sure about it!

We took the kids to the zoo to meet up with some friends of ours. It was our first time this year. They seemed to enjoy it so much more than last year. They even walked some of the time and did GREAT! All except Jace of course who just wanted to run around and take off. Once we let him out of the stroller, he did not want to go back in. We might take them again soon, but probably find a sitter for Jace, he is just too much to handle at the zoo, next year will be better for him. And that way we can enjoy it more with the girls. I don't like him to miss out on it, but... the girls will enjoy it more. I will just have to make sure we don't something fun with him!

Great Grandpa's 80th Party!

They even went potty three times each while we were there! So proud!

Jace was a handful as usual!
Jaeli's best friend Hannah...Josh's cousin. Jaeli is obsessed with her and freaked out every time she left her side!

Josh's cousin Maggie helped us out a great deal by chasing Jace around all day! Thanks Maggie!

Overall, everyone did great. We had enough after about 4 or 5 hours and headed home. They had a good day. I don't want my baby boy to grow up too fast, but things will be so much easier when we don't have to chase him around all the time. He is such a boy...and has NO fear!

Potty Training

Well we have been working on potty training for about a month now. It is going much better than expected. We have a routine and it works good! We only have one though, Miss Maysie who has not had an accident in about a week! Jaeli and Makenna have one or two accidents a day, usually b/c they are busy playing and don't want to go. I never would have though Maysie would be the first. She holds it well, even through the night! She is always dry when she wakes up and after most naps. Soon I think we can switch her to regular undies and maybe even during nap. I think I will wait awhile for bedtime though. So proud of her! Makenna and Jae do pretty good, they are getting there. There are two problems that drive me nuts...one is playing in the sink. They will stay in the bathroom way longer than they need to because they are playing in the sink, usually making a mess. Hopefully it will pass. Maysie and Jaeli usually beg me to go potty after we have changed into pj's and got diapers on for bedtime after we go to their room to read books. Mainly my fault for not making them go right before I get them ready for bed.

Glad to be getting close to eliminating 3x the amount of diapers that we go though! We have saved about 30 bucks a week keeping them in training pants all day long. Next we will have to work on Jace, maybe when he turns 2!

The Park

Aunt Steph and the kids cousins came over today and asked us to go to the school and play on the play ground with them. So she talked me into it and we were able to go for about an hour. They LOVED it! It went better than expected. They had fun climbing up and down...even Jace was climbing up and down..SCARY! Steph gave me a great laugh...see the picture right above? She was sitting on another one with Jace and her son Noah. Noah got off and she started tipping backwards and just kept going! She saved Jace but got lots of scraps on her arm and hand. I could not help but laugh...laughed a lot! Just wish I got a picture of it, but was laughing too much to even think about it until after it happened. Love you Steph!
