First Parent Teacher Conference!

Hats they made at school, and Jace had to have one too... so Grandma B made him one!
How cute, they have lockers!!

Well the triplets had their first Parent Teach Conference. I went last night after work, without the girls. Just easier that way. Mrs. Deb is a great teacher and so happy to have them in her class. She had lots of great things to say about the girls. She is still struggling a bit with JJ and MJ, being able to tell them apart but we usually put something purple, like a head band on JJ so she can usually use that to tell the difference. The girls have their little firends they talk about all the time. The each share a friend name Sawyer, I have yet to meet her, but my mom told me she likes to walk up with the girls to the door when they get to school. Makenna's boyfriend is Cameron. Jaeli's is Elijah and Maysies is... can't remember the name! They all are very nice to Eli, who is in a wheel chair and the teacher said they are very helpful and always include him in everything. Happy to hear that! A little about each of them...

Makenna: She knows all her colors, all her upper case letters, she did great in language arts comprehension, she did great in visual discrimination name recognition and matching pictures. She got all her shapes except a diamond - surprised the teacher when she called it hexagon! She recognized 7 of 10 numbers and counts to 14! Her sissor skills are great, she does not like to be helped, she is very independent and wants to learn it on her own. And she can write her name "MAK", needs practicing writing it "Mak". She is doing very well, obviously much more advanced then MJ and JJ and does not talk much. (That is odd!) Teacher said she watches her and it looks like she is thinking really hard constantly but never talks to her and tells her what she is thinking. So need to work on that too. She should be ready for Kindergarten! Mrs. Deb has only had to deal with her "episodes" once that she really noticed. She does have trouble getting her attention to come talk to her. She usually has to get up and repeat her name. She is not sure if she is ignoring her or just to focussed on what she is doing and not hearing her. I think she is just too focused - when she is doing sometihng or watching something, that is all she cares about at that moment. Have 3 brothers and sisters around constantly teaches them to drown out the background.

Jaeli: She knows 7 of 11 colors. She struggled with brown, black, white and orange. She got 19 of 26 letters right and her language arts comprehension is great! She struggles a bit recognizing her name, mostly because there are three other "Ja" names in her class but she is getting better every day with it. She did good matching pictures, 3 out of 5. She got all her shapes right and recognized 7 of 10 numbers. Did not get 0, 6, 8 or 9 right. She can count to 11 and her sissor skills are good, still learning but doing better and better as time goes on. She can not write her name yet though, just J. She is very quiet when she talks, but at least she talks! Mrs. Deb recommended speech therapy for her. The therapist is going to come in and evaluate her and see if she needs it. If so and we qualify, it will take place during school. We really  need to work with her to make sure she is ready for Kindergarten, if not, then she may need another year of Preschool.

Maysie: She knows 9 of 11 colors. She had trouble with brown and black. She knows 18 of 26 letters and language arts comprehension was a bit of a struggle. She could say the picture but not put it into a sentence, she would not say anything. She knows her name, has no problem picking it out. She matched 3 of 5 pictures and sturggled with rectangle, square and I think oval. She recognized 6 of 10 numbers. I believe she struggled with 0, 6, 9 and can't remember the others. She can count to 13 with teacher pointing to the numbers for her. Her scissor skills are good, she switches from left to right, so we need to help her figure out which one she is before kindergarten. Mrs. Deb sees her use both, so we need to pay attention and see which one she does better with and try to get her to use only that one when writing or drawing. She can not write her name yet, just M. She too may need speech therapy. She talks less than JJ. Mrs. Deb has trouble understanding both of them at times. And we also need to work with her to get her ready for Kindergarten.

All: I do not want them to be in seperate grades, so really going to work hard getting MJ and JJ where they need to be to be ready for Kindergarten cause I know Mak will be ready. Not fair to Mak to hold her back because of JJ and MJ, but not fair to them if they arent ready. So that is very important! She also said the Kindergarten teachers may have somethign to say about splitting them up into seperate classes or keeping them together. She said they don't always have to sit together and they do communicate with the other kids, so she is going to keep an eye on them to make sure they improve and become socially ready. I think ideally I would like to keep them in the same class for Kindergarten and then split them up in 1st garde and after. So we will see. She does notice thier "secret language" at times. She said it is really neat to watch. She did hear JJ or MJ raise their voice for the very first time. One was sitting in a chair the other one wanted it, so she yelled at her and the other one got up! She could not recall who was who at the time. She also said the Kindergarten teachers think its great she has triplets and is looking forward to having them.

Jace: I asked if he would be able to go to Preschool next year and she said yes, it is for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. So that is good. And if there is room on the bus, he can ride with the girls! So crossing my fingers there will be room to make it easier for Josh and Grandma B.

Great job girls!!

Last camping trip... with Jace!

Friday night snuggling with daddy by the fire!
 Fun on the playground!

We had our last camping trip of the year! It was VERY cold and rainy, but we managed and turned out to be okay. Friday it rained A LOT and very very windy. We were stuck in the camper some of the time. Saturday was a little better, no rain and windy during the day but toward the evening it stopped, so we had a good night. Jace did great. He had a blast and slept well for me. Thanks to Grandma J, Grandpa Rick and Jarilyn for going with us - even with the rain and cold. Next year we will be sure to go sometime before October!

Camping Trip #3 (Girls last for the year.)

Having a good time making Pumpkin Spiders! (Thanks to Jennifer for coming up with the idea and making it all happen!) They had a blast!

Getting ready to go Trick or Treating! They had so much fun going around another campground and getting lots and lots of candy! Thanks to Uncle Greg for the special bags of candy he had for them that I made them trade in... due to Mak's illness. It was a good time!

This was our last camping trip of the year with the girls. It was interesting and don't think we will be going so late in the year next year, but we had a great time, even thought it was feezing! The kids all did great, no one got in trouble... too much. It was a bit cold and had to dress very very warm. I made the mistake of only taking one pair of shoes for the kids and Mak's got soak and wet, so we had to run to the store to get new ones and picked up some rain boot while we were there. So those worked out pretty well. It rained a lot on Friday and through the night. The camper got rained on so much that the canapy leaked all night long... that was NOT fun, but we managed. Saturday was much better, still cold, but no rain thank goodness and we were able to be outside instead of stuck instead the camper trying to entertain 4 young chidren!

Thanks to Aunt Kris and Uncle Greg and our friends Mitch and Jennifer and their two girls for camping with us and having a great time. Looking forward to next year!

And one last trip this year will be next weekend with Grandma and Grandpa J and Aunt Jarilyn. But only Jace will be going to make up for the time we left him out earlier this summer. Should be fun... and hopefully not as cold as last weekend.

Says it all...

Miss Makenna, this picture explains her well! She is so so creative and so smart. Some days she just amazes me at how much she knows and picks up on so easily. She loves to draw, she is very athletic and... when not on Fructose or too much sugar... she is so very happy and loving!
Oh Miss Jaeli, this explains her so very well too! She is our sleeper, just like daddy! She will fall asleep first and wake up last. Loves her sleep. She has a huge heart and very independent and makes me smile every day! And you can't forget the drama... she doesn't get her way, she will let you know!
And my sweet, sweet... cry baby! Miss Maysie can be so sweet and innocent... but she is a good little actress and very deceiving. She is always attached to my butt and is more drama then any of them! She can be very shy and very quiet, but she can also be so so silly too and loves to cuddle with her mommy!
And Mr. Jace is everything all the girls are put together! He just feeds off them and does everything and anything they do. Gotta love him, such a huge personality. Love my little man and makes me so sad to see him getting so big. But he sure does love to be right there next to his sisters getting in trouble!

New Clothes!

They always love wearing new clothes! Usually keeps them happy pretending they are princesses for an hour or so and Jace just joins in on the fun! Silly kids!

Grandma's New Car - Big Girl Seats!

Grandma got a new car that fits ALL four of the  kids. Now she can take them and pick them up and we don't have to trade vehicles.
The girls also moved to booster seats. They are very excited about them... me, I am nervous but doctor had a talk with them and they listen pretty well for the most part and don't move around too much!

Grandma and Grandpa's new house!

Grandma takes the girls to school and picks them up one day a week. This was the first week and they were getting ready for show and tell!
Grandpa getting his hair done! Such a great Grandpa!
Ready for school! This was the day Mak and I were in Indy at Riley so it was just JJ and MJ.
On their way to school!
New TV!

All About Jace!

Going Pee Pee In The Potty! He is getting there, slowly. He is showing interest and actually doing it on occasion, so that is a start! I give it 3 or 4 more months and he might be close to getting it down, at least during the day!
Jace got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa when we took the girls camping this summer. I am sure he enjoyed himself and I think Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed having him!
 Yum Yum!
 Night Night!
 Boxes are so much fun!
 Out to eat!
 Another hair cut from Grandpa!

Girls 4 Year Check Up

 Waiting to see the doc!
 4 years old
This was taken last year at their 3 year appointment. Look how big they have got in just 1 year!

They girls did great. They were so scared they were getting shots but much to my surprise, no shots this time! They were very happy about that. They even did everything the doctor asked them to do. They would never open their mouths before so she could look in, but this time they all did!

Makenna: 40.5 lbs 90% and 40 5/8" 75%
                 (3 year: 36 lbs and 37 5/8")

Jaeli: 37.5 lbs 75% and 39" 50%
          (3 year: 31 lbs and 35 7/8")

Maysie: 36.25 lbs 50%  and 38 1/4" 25%
             (3 year: 28.5 lbs and 35 5/8")

Makenna has always been around 5 lbs more than JJ and MJ, so they are slowly catching up. And Mak has always been in the 85% for weight and height - so she is slowing down in height and gaining in weight!

JJ and MJ have always been about 2 lbs apart, so MJ is finally catching up to JJ in weight, but height not so much, although when you look at them you can't even tell she is shorter. They have always been 5% for height and 25% for weight, so they are really catching up to where they should be.

Can't believe my girls are 4 years old and will be 5 years old in just 9 months. WOW!

Thank you Aunt Lari and Uncle Dave!

Aunt Lari and Uncle Dave gave the girls their (late) birthday present over the weekend (and of course Jace got a 2.5 year present). They would not wear them after they opened them, too many people around I think But they did get to watch Aunt Lari, Grandma J and, Cousin Drew be very silly running around the yard showing them how to do it! Thanks guys for being such great sports and giving us all a laugh! Once we got home, they had a blast playing with them and insisted on taking them to their rooms for bedtime!

Scary Girls!

Aunt Kris and I took Jaeli and Makenna to the store when Jace was taking a nap and Maysie was with Grandma B for some one on one time. They begged me all day to go, so we did. They had fun walking around, especially in the Halloween section.

I don't take them often and they proved me right once again. When I told them NO they couldn't have a toy, they cried. But thankfully they only did it for a minute or two and were done... until the next NO. Overall they were good girls!

Thanks Aunt Kris for going with us!

Oh Mr. Jace...

Jace is for sure, something else! He can be so adorable, so funny, so mean, so sweet, so weird, so goofy, such drama - everything and anything constantly! He MUST have two blankets and now he MUST have two paci's. Not too much longer, the paci's will be gone for good and we will be giving them to the birds, sorry buddy.

Love my little man!

First School Pictures!

 Jaeli Jo
 Makenna Anne
Maysie Jailyn

Oh my girls... I told them and begged them to smile for me in their pictures. They all promised they would, but I knew... only one of them would, and as you see, I was right - it was Miss Makenna.

Jaeli looks so so so so scared in her picture. Poor girl was probably deathly afraid. Maybe next year I can get a smile!

Makenna sure did give me a smile, but it's the smile I hate! LOL I am still working with her to show her teeth and then it is usually an adorable smile. But at least she listened to me and gave me a smile!

Mayise just looks scared, little miss innocent and litte miss sweet all in one. Ha, if you only new! She is thinking to herself, mommy wants me to smile, but I don't want all these people to see who I really am. She is so shy!

So happy but so sad at the same time. Their first school pictures... didn't turn out too horrible! Maybe next year I can get them all to smile and show their teeth!
