Cooper and Lucy
Don't talk much about the other two members of our family so thought I would post this video of our fur kids. At times, they fight more rough then the human kids! Best dog ever! Cat... A bit mean thanks to Makenna, but we still love her. It sure is funny to watch her attack Makenna, and even the others at times. She chases them around the house and bites their feet. So funny... Except at 2 am when one wakes cause she is scared and then when told to go back to bed, we hear a horrible scream because the cat is chasing her to her room. Well after I wake up the next morning and remember what happened... Then its funny!
Facials
Makenna begged me to do facials the other night. Ever since their Aunts Tracy, Jarilyn and Grandma did them with them a couple years back she has wanted to do it again. We even talked Jace into doing it. He was not happy when we took it off though... It tingled and I guess hurt a bit. It was funny!
First Basketball Game... They won!
The girls had their first basketball game on Saturday. They have really surprised me! Although they are not the best players on the team, they try very hard and always tell me they enjoy it. Their coaches are great. And of course the coaches have three daughters between the two of them on the team that are very good. It was funny to listen to the other coach on the other team yelling at his girls to get the ball, shoot the ball, run, or whatever he was wanting them to do. Our coaches spoke loudly so the girls could hear them but it was in a polite, friendly way... Reminding them and helping them if they didn't know what to do. And we won! 30 to 16 I think. The paper we got for signing them up specifically said no experience was neccessary and this is to "teach" them the game... Which our coaches are doing very well. I would have been very disappointed if that other coach was ours. Jaeli and Maysie still can't get the ball high enough but the coaches are working with them and I have hopes by December when it ends, they will be able to get the ball in the hoop. Not looking forward to the next game though that begins at 8 am!
My sister and her daughters went to the game and then lunch after, it was nice catching up.

School Reports
Now that the girls are in 3rd grade, more is required of them. They each have a report to write about a business in the community they think is important. In the report they have to tell about the business, facts and why its important. They also have to provide pictures and build a model of it using at least a paper bag. We went a little further and used a shoe box. With a little help from me, we came up with 3 pretty creative business models. I even took them to each place to ask questions they could use in their reports. The models were big hits at school and used to show as an example to the other students. Makenna choose Ossian State Bank, Maysie choose Honeggar Animal Clinic, and Jaeli choose Heyerleys Bakery. We had fun working on them individually and Jace even asked to make one...without the report of course. I am looking forward to seeing their grades!

Special Project
I can't share the details because we don't want to give away what we are doing until after Christmas. But the kids and I sit down this weekend and made some little gifts to give to their teachers and family. They had a blast doing it! You might be able to guess from the pictures but if not you'll just have to wait until then. Let's just say we're not done. It will take a while to complete and make the finished product! Although they got much further than I thought they would, so maybe it won't take as long as I was expecting.
Healthy eating
We have been trying to eat a little healthier due to two of the girls having high cholesterol. We've cut out a lot of pasta which has helped I think quite a bit. I have seen a change in the girls so I think it's working. They don't seem to mind too much. Hopefully we can continue it!
Jace has always been a healthy eater, it's just been a problem to get him to sit down and eat! But when he does it's almost always good choices. As you can see from his salad in the picture. Kind of gross though! Strawberries, bananas, chicken, and something else I can't remember but it didn't sound very good

Basketball practice
So basketball season has officially started! The girls have practice 2 days a week and then games every Saturday until the end of December. Jace starts here in a couple weeks as well. So that might be 4 days we have basketball. It's going to be a rough couple of months. But very happy that the girls are having a blast. I was worried
Jaeli and Maysie would struggle and not like it. Although they do struggle with it, they seem to have a lot of fun and that's all that matters. We just need a little more practice. Excited to see them play their first game on Saturday! Their team name is Indiana and the players consists of three families... Them, a set of twins, and two cousins. Pretty cool!

Grandma is away :(
It's been a hectic week with my parents on their anniversary Cruise, but we are managing! They are missed dearly! My sister needed someone to watch her daughter's over the weekend for a few hours so we were home and available and happy to do it! The kids had a lot of fun with their cousins and we were watching my parents dog Trooper as well. We had a house full! Jace was gone most of the time off playing with his friends when my nieces were there, but when he came home, they clung to him like crazy! They sure do love him!
New Glasses
Jaeli and Maysie got new glasses the other day. Both are looking very stylish. They both still have astigmatism and are now nearsighted. They are to wear them all the time. Hoping they take better care of these ones. They did great answering the doctors questions and weren't as shy as last time. Not sure what this means but there was this screen that was red on one side and green on the other side, and the doctor ask them which side they could see the letters better. Jaeli said green and Maysie said red. Just thought that was kind of odd! Next year I will take all four and see how Mak and Jace are doing. Next appointment is the dentist. Yay!
