Makenna

These pictures were taken two days after she came home and reunited with her sisters. Ever since then she has been overly clingy and mean. She is mean to the girls and Jace constantly, even us adults. She throws fits when she does not get her way, worse than usual. I heard its normal after getting that much attention and many do it and that it will pass. I hope it changes once the breathing treatments stop. We go see the doctor for a follow up appointment same time as Jace's 9 month check up. I have been able to wean her down to 3 times a day with treatments instead of every four hours night and day. So hopefully when those stop she starts to get back to her old self.

Sick

Makenna and Jaeli laying on the couch watching Elmo.

Jaeli laying on the recliner watching Elmo.
Not sure if I should be concerened, but occasionally Jaeli will wake up looking like she has one or two swollen eyes. Could this just be her after she wakes, or is she allergic to something she ate the night before? Have no idea. But it almost always goes away within an hour after she wakes.

So the girls, and Jace, all caught a cold a week or two ago. As you all know, Makenna got it the worst. Jaeli, Maysie and Jace just had runny nose and that was pretty much it. Felt lousy for a couple days but got over that quick. These picks were taken two days before Makenna was in the hospital. I think Daddy is getting it too, hopefully not like Makenna! I am on some medicine that I think, I hope is keeping me from catching it. Crossing my fingers!

Reading

I thought this was cute, Makenna and Jaeli reading to each other. They don't usually react to each other in a positive way very often, so this was a nice moment. It is usually Jaeli and Maysie or Maysie and Makenna. This was also soon after the twins were re-united with Makenna after being in the hospital. I think they missed her.

Halloween Costumes

I am so proud of myself for making them this year! I could not think of anything for them to be this year. I know I don't have many more times to choose their costumes, so I wanted it to be something I thought was cute and they would "understand". They are big time into Sesame Street so I thought I would do characters. I had no clue how I was going to get sweatshirts/hoodies in the colors I needed though. I searched for ever but could not find anything. And then another fellow triplet mom told me she could probably find some for me. And she did, thank you so much Astrid, I really appreciate it! So I bought some t-shirt transfers and put the faces of the characters on them! I think they turned out really good. We will see how the girls like them. And they can wear them anytime, not just for Halloween!

Here is who they are going to be...

Makenna: Big Bird cause she is the biggest!
Jaeli: Oscar cause she is the grumpiest!
Maysie: Cookie Monster cause she loves to eat!
Jace: Elmo cause he is the baby!

Hopefully they wont fight over who gets to be who!

Josie and Jace

I babysat my niece Josie this weekend and my mom took the girls to make it a little easier on me! Jace enjoyed her company. They fight like the girls do though. She is a hitter and slapped him a few times, me as well! They loved chasing each other though and laugh the same, it was funny! They stole toys from each other constantly. But Jace is used to it! Aside from her wanting me to hold her or be near her all the time, she did pretty good. Sorry Mandy, but that child has the most piercing cry I have ever heard! I don't know how you stand it! She was very lovable though, got lots of kisses and smiles from her! She only woke up once last night around midnight but went right back to sleep and slept through the night as well as Jace. So that was good! It was nice to spend some quality time with my niece who I don't see nearly enough!

Jace Update

Jace will be 9 months old tomorrow! Where did my baby go? I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. He is finally crawling on his hands and knees instead of army crawling. He starting to fight with his sisters more and more every day. They take toys from him and he comes crying to me. He takes them from them too, they are so annoyed by him at times. Pretty soon he will be bigger than them, maybe even Makenna. I think he is eating way too much formula. But he prefers that over food. I had Josie, his cousin, this weekend and she eats LOTS of baby food, so I tried to see if he would eat it. And he did, he loved it. Humm??? Maybe seeing her do it made him do it. So I might give it a try again and just do one meal baby food and two meals real food. I think he still prefers the real food and begs me as much as the girls do for my food. I got four little birdies begging me for food if I eat in front of them. He is getting to be so big, I think the doctor is going to tell me to cut back on the formula. Morning he will go four hours but evenings he wants it every three hours. But maybe if I give him more foods, he will want it less. I think he is pretty close to Maysie in weight. We will find out Tuesday at his 9 mth check up! He walks around things now, has not taken any steps on his own though, probably wont for a few more weeks. He doesn't even stand on his own for very long yet. But its coming, I am sure! He still sleeps 12 hours a night if he isn't sick or teething. Then its up on and off all night. Hate those nights, but Daddy usually takes care of it! My baby boy is becoming a little man!

Cereal in a bowl... with milk!

I decided to give cereal a try the other day. It went better than expected. Still a bit messy, but what do you expect with triplets (monkey see monkey do!) They ate all the cereal with their spoons and then drank the milk in the bowl. And wanted the milk in their sippy's put into the bowl so they could drink it from the bowl some more!
