Pictures 9mths & 27mths

Makenna was very cooperative...smiled in almost every picture I took. Then Jace of course just wanted to go all over the place. Jaeli and Maysie did not want to smile no matter what I did, so when they did, they looked goofy half the time. But I think I got some good ones. As for a group shot...next to impossible. We will try again later!

Halloween Party

The girls had a great time at their Halloween Party. I think they ate more candy that night then they had ever had in their 2 years of life! They were on a major sugar high! I had to wake them up from nap to get there on time, so they were a little shy at the beginning, but I gave them some sugar and about 10 minutes later, they perked up and started playing the games. We went for a visit to see Grandma J at work, they LOVED that! And then home to wait for Grandma B and Grandpa so Mommy and Daddy could go to a Halloween Party. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! The costumes turned out great, they were a little big, but that is okay, they can wear them for awhile. Thanks Astrid!

Time Outs

I decided to try a new approach to discipline. Nothing was working, so I thought that since the Laundry Room is directly attached to the Play Room, it would be a great place for time-out where I could see them. The washer and dryer being on, just helps that much more! I count to 3 and then they go in for a minute or two. They do try to climb out occasionally, but usually just tell them to get down and they do. They don't really like being in there, well except for the very first time when they all three wanted in at the same time and ran back and forth, hitting the washer and dryer, while screaming! They don't do it anymore, now they want out and not in! So hopefully it keeps working and we can get some well behaved kids! HA HA HA! They are biting and hitting less, so that is good!

And then there is Jace... Somehow, someway, he put himself in time-out! I heard him crying, walked over and found him stuck in-between the gate and wall. No clue how he got in there!

Silly Girls

Well the girls love to make faces. These are two of the four most common! They make a piggy face all the time and just recently started sticking their fingers in their mouths and pulling outwards. And then there is squeezing their cheeks together. They think it is hilarious. They also do a "look", I guess I would call it the ... mean look. They love to make us all laugh!

And of course, they all have to help Grandpa walk, they sure do love his cane!

Tormenting The Dog

Thought this was cute!

Jace 9 month Apt. (Makenna Follow Up Apt.)

I took Jace and Makenna to their doctor today. It was Jace's 9 month check up Makenna's follow up apt. after being in the hospital.

Jace is right on track, right where he needs to be! I was a bit worried about him eating too much, but he isn't gaining too much weight so I should keep doing what I am doing and slowly transition him to finger foods and less formula as time goes on. I should add he has been doing better with baby food. I just offer it to him 3 hours after his last bottle and he eats 2 jars mixed with cereal or rice. So this allows him to skip one bottle and not have formula 5 times a day! He is in the 50th percentile for everything but head...75%. He has always had an above average head size! He is 20lbs 13oz and 28in tall! (only 2 lbs from Maysie!)

As for Makenna... she is doing great! Doc said her lungs sound perfect and we can stop the treatments unless we notice her coughing a lot or breathing hard, then to give her one and see if it helps. But she doubts we will need to. She did lose a couple ounces, but I am sure she will gain it back in no time!
