Jace

Jace is now army crawling big time. He goes all over the place...and fast! He is starting to climb up things and trying to stand one his own. He is getting so big so fast! He is doing great on the baby food, loves it! He still sleeps through the night about 11 hours. He loves his sisters but hates them when they steal his toys...he just cries and cries until he gets it back! Working with sippy cups, has not actually drank from it yet, but I am sure its coming!

Our First Haircuts!!!

They each just needed a trim, especially Jaeli! So I decided I would give it a try (I have never cut girls hair before!). I did not want to pay 10 or 20 bucks per child just for a little bit trimmed off. Jace I have no problem doing, I have cut many boys hair, so I know what I am doing. As for the girls, had no clue what to do or how to start. But I figured it out as I want. The good thing was I started with Makenna, she refused, so then went to Jaeli and she had the most. So I figured if I screwed up, Janna (grandma J) could just fix it for me! Well I trimmed it a bit and it looked okay! So then Makenna wanted to do it now that she saw Jaeli do it. So she did great, was pretty easy. Then next was Maysie and she also did great, not much hair, so was very easy! As I got further down the line, I was starting to get it a little more! So I trimmed each of them one more time. I was happy with the results! I don't think anyone but me will notice, but thats okay! Their hair is out of their face and that is all I wanted to do!

NICU Reunion

We went to the NICU reunion on Saturday. Was hoping to see some of the other triplets that were there when the girls were, but no one in site! Of course it was boring, cause they are two young to enjoy the games, so we just took a walk around the zoo and then headed home! Maybe next year they will enjoy it!

Organization

I decided to organize their toys a little better! It has gone pretty well so far! Girls seem to like it. They get three bins at one time. When they want someting else, those bins have to be put up. Their are toys that are out all the time, but not many! It makes clean up so much easier! And keeps them enjoying their toys a little longer!

Daddy and Jace

Taking a nap together! Jace was playing and then the next thing I knew, he was asleep on the baby!

Out to Dinner for Daddy's Birthday!

Grandpa took us all out to dinner to Pizza Hut for Daddy's birthday. The girls did great, they had lots of fun and ate pretty good, for the most part. Jace was there also, but he was just kind of chilling in his car seat! Thanks Grandpa!

Makenna Made The News!

Doesn't she look happy! I think she was bored, but they all did great the short time we were there! (This was a picture NewChannel15 took.)

NICU grads reunite with caregivers

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Neonatal intensive care units at Lutheran and St. Joseph hospitals again reunited with the newborns they once helped in Franke Park Saturday.

Children who spent time in the NICU at either Lutheran or St. Joe and their families were invited to celebrate and reconnect with caregivers and other graduates on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the side yard of Foellinger Theatre on Sherman Boulevard in Fort Wayne.

Officials from Lutheran Health Network said the reunions are always a much appreciated opportunity for nurses, physicians and families to reunite and see the progress of children who were at one time in need of the critical care available through the NICU.

For us nurses, its just so wonderful to see the children again, to see how the Lord has just blessed them. I think all of our staff are really excited about being able to see the graduates today and be able to minister to these families. It was just a physical, spiritual, emotional time in their life when they needed that extra help. We're all just so appreciative to be able to be used in that way,” said Lutheran Hospital neonatal nurse, Irene Wagley.

Organizers of this annual party have traditionally welcomed more than 750 guests back to the park.

"With Lutheran being a center for neonatology, we have kids here today coming back from all over northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio because they were either preemie or babies that were sick at some point in their newborn life. They are here to just celebrate the fact that life is going well. Some of them will be here today in wheelchairs, some with feeding tubes or on oxygen, but they're here today because there is a lot of camaraderie of parents who were in the unit at the same time,” said Wagley.

Activities this year included a moonwalk, special animal visits provided by volunteers from the
Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, kiddie games, snacks and free passes to the zoo.
