What the girls have been doing lately...

Playing with our baby dolls!
Some how Jaeli managed to move her crib all the way over to Maysie's. I think she shook her way over!
Grandpa and Jace sleeping!

Found them all naked after their nap!

We love to get naked! So we have started using diaper pins to pin their pants to their onesies. It works pretty well except when they pull their arms out through the top of their shirts! I think it is a losing battle! And another bad thing is its leaving holes in all their clothes. We have been staying with Grandma and Grandpa a lot while Josh and I work on the house. Its been a huge help, I just hope its not too much on them. But I think, I hope they would tell me if it was. I think the girls enjoy it. They have been moody lately, but I think that is from teeth coming in.

Makenna loves Jace, loves it when he "touches" her belly. She pretty much makes him by sticking her belly out as far as she can until it reaches his hand, where ever it may be! She then laughs and smiles.

Jaeli has been very moody, so she cries a lot more than usual. Nothing really new has changed with her. She is getting a lot more hair, but still not enough to style yet!

Maysie is her usual drama queen self! She cries over everything, but I don't think that is ever going to change! She still loves her mommy lots! She is now my best cuddler!

Jace smiles and talks a lot more now, still sleeping quite a bit. He has been spending lots of time with Grandpa while I work on the house. Its nice to have someone there to keep him company so I don't have to go to him every time he gets fussy! He is still sleeping only 4 or 5 hours straight, but its getting better. I am hoping to get him on a 4 hour schedule when we move into the house. We will see!

Update on the House

Chilling on our new fireplace!

Running around the living room (which will be blocked off from them for another year or so, it will not be baby proofed.)

Girls playing in the light!

Janna (Grandma) working on the bathroom!

Jarilyn working on baseboards!

Josh and Todd working on Playroom/Kitchen wall.

Tammy painting Jace's room!

Main Bathroom

Girls room...very colorful!

Master bedroom

The playroom/kitchen wall we had to tear down. Should look nice when its done!

So we have come pretty far in a couple weeks. We almost have all the bedrooms finalized and the bathrooms done. There has been lots of painting and sanding! I just have to keep telling myself it will be worth it when its done. I am hoping to be in by May 1st, but it just seems like we can't get enough done in the time we have each day. It all adds up though. It always seems like we have not done anything at the end of the day, but when you add it all up at the end of the week, it is actaully quite a bit! Hoping to finalize the Master bedroom this week so Josh and I can stay there when we only have Jace! Thanks to everyone who has been helping! And sorry for the lack of posts lately, just been very busy!

Working on the house...

So we have been working on the house the last few days, and will be working on it for another month or so before we can move in. I am hoping to get some time to post some pictures, but no promises! Its going pretty good. Just seems like we get nothing done, but when you put two or three days together, we actually are getting stuff done. Hopefully I can keep posting updates when I get time.

Painted girls room a gray/purple and yellow (not bright). I think they will love it. I might try to do some art work on it tomorrow if I get time. Maybe write their names and draw some flowers!

We also got the Master Bedroom walls painted, looks very relaxing, can't wait to sleep in there!

WALL PAPER SUCKS! I hate taking off wall paper, it is the worst job ever, especially when it was put on wrong, which causes more work for us! We still have to do the main bathroom and decided to leave the mater bathroom as it is and not take off the wall paper. It would take another week before we could get all that off!

Dining room wall/playroom wall had to be taken out because of some bad electrical work the previous owners did. So we took it all out and did it correctly. The new wall is much different, and much nicer. There was a glass door there separating the two rooms but now there is a much larger opening which will give us more table room!

So far that is it for now! Thanks to Aunt Lari, Aunt Tracy, Ryan and Janna for helping this week! Thank you to my parents for keeping the girls and to Leah for taking Jace for two days! And I can't forget Grandpa Jack for sitting with Jace while we work! Its a huge help! Hopefully I did not forget anyone!

Maysie got hurt!
All three of them in their cribs after naptime NAKED and Jaeli even had poop everywhere!
Jaeli's black eye, we fell off a chair!

We finally got our house! I am so happy! It took a long time, but it will be worth it once we get to move in and start living in our own home again! It is 3x the size of our old home, so should fit us well!

We are going to have to buy some diaper pins so we can pin their clothes together because they just wont stop taking them off and their diapers!

I spoke with the doctor about thinking she might be OCD. Well, doctor does not think so, she says its normal for some kids at this age. She is just trying to control the environment around her since she can't control her sisters or me and dad. She said to tell her its okay how it is and to let her through a fit if she decides too. And to ignore her. But if its something bothering her that she can do, then help her figure out how to do it or change it herself! So we will give it a try!

He is getting to be a big boy! We had our 2 month check up. He is now 12lbs 10oz and 22" in height. He is doing great! We did switch formulas to see how it works for him. It is soy, proteins already broken up to help digestion go easier. Hopefully it helps and he can have some relief every once in awhile!

Science Central

Makenna ridding the horse!
Makenna playing in the water.
Makenna climbing
Maysie playing with Legos!
Maysie hiding!
Jaeli showing me what she found!
Jaeli rocking!
Jaeli playing with a puppet.
Jace just chillin!
Mayise and Makenna
All of us playing at the water table. We spent most of our time here.
We got a little too wet so we had to put on aprons!
All of us climbing!

So I wanted to get the girls out of the house for a bit. So we decided to go to Science Central. There are a few other places I plan to visit soon too, like Mitchel Books Play Center, the Library to visit with my Aunt and then of course the Zoo when it opens!

It went really well, the girls did great! They never fought or fussed the entire time. They did have me warn out chasing them around! Thanks Grandma B for helping! I think Daddy had a good time too! Jace slept through most of it!

They were not happy when we left, fought us a little when putting them in the car. I fed them a quick dinner and then we left! They slept great that night!

Jace Smiles!

The last couple days Jace has started to smile and coo! It is so great to see your child smile at you for the first time! It is much different than the gas smiles, these are very real and he does them for Daddy most of the time.

Makenna OCD & Climbing out of playards.

I think Makenna has a problem. I truly think she is OCD. She goes nuts when something is out of place. I plan on talking to her doctor next time I see her to see what she thinks. It worries me a bit. I am going to try to work with her to let her know its okay if something is different than normal. Just not sure how to go about it. So we will see! We had to switch cribs the other day with Maysie because she screamed at the top of her lungs during naptime. I went in to see what was wrong and she pointed to the wall. It had light shinning on it from the window. It was the first day it had been sunny in a long time! She seems to be doing better, hopefully it does not get worse.

So Makenna and Jaeli have figured out how to climb out of their playards when staying at my mom's house! First it was Makenna climbing in with Jaeli, but now, they both just get out! She had to baby proof the room and just let them be. There was no stopping them. The worst part is that they can open the door. She usually finds them in the play room. So her and my dad are trying to figure out a way to keep them contained during naptime and bedtime. They just don't want to spend $60 on crib tents, which would work. But it would only be a matter of time before they figured out how to get out of those. I am really hoping I have a few more months before they figure out how to climb out of their cribs!

Bubble Baths

Well since we are still living with my in-laws, bathtime is done in the sink. Daddy decided to give them their first bubble bath! I would have liked it to have been in a real tub, but hoepfully soon! They had lots of fun! I am excited for summer, they love baths, so hoping they love to swim too since both Grandma's have pools! Last year they did not know what to think of it!

New Sweatshirts!

I bought the girls some sweatshirts for this spring/summer since the weather is getting a little nicer! I hate putting them in the big bulky coats... I think they hate them too! Don't they look cute!
